How to use Transportation in Seoul | Seoul Metro System | T-Money | Subway & Bus

Hi there! Want to use public transportation in Seoul? This item is a must-have for your trip!

In that case, Climate Card is highly recommended!

Climate Card (cost: 3000KRW)

The Climate Card allows unlimited use of public transportation (subway and bus) for the selected duration with a one-time fee recharge!

It can be used within the Seoul area!

* Exclusions include the Shinbundang Line (RED colored-line), public transportation outside the Seoul area, and airport buses, which cannot be used. 😞


The purchase process is even simpler! You can buy it at designated convenience stores or certain subway stations!


If you're staying near Myeongdong or Gangnam Station, you can purchase it at the customer service offices of both stations. Just keep in mind that only cash is accepted for purchases at these offices!

Some convenience stores sell it, while others don't, so it's a good idea to visit multiple stores!

The Climate card offers both short-term and long-term options!

The long-term option is the 30-day card, perfect for extended trips!

The short-term card can be purchased for 1 to 7 days, and the prices are as follows:


👉 1 day: 5,000 KRW/2 days: 8,000 KRW/ 3 days: 10,000 KRW/ 5 days: 15,000 KRW/ 7 days: 20,000 KRW/ 30 days: 62,000 KRW

You can recharge the card at the charging machines available at most subway stations. Most machines accept cash, and some also accept cards, so be sure to check and enjoy your trip!
